Calling All Women of the Future
Kick off the new decade with 20/20 vision and a clear path ahead!

If you’re a leader, teacher, coach, or author—it’s time for you to be seen, heard, and celebrated …not by becoming an “expert,” but by claiming your true power.

As a woman who has been through so much and has the stories and battle scars to prove it.

As a brave soul who has the capacity, grit, and desire to leave her unique mark on the world.

But of course, we all have those moments of stewing in the chaos and confusion of our lives, and wondering how we are going to get through it all.

Maybe you can relate…

  • Are you constantly giving to others—friends, family, colleagues, partners—without getting nearly as much in return?
  • Do you wake up feeling like something’s missing in your life—and it’s not a little something but an ingredient you just know could be a game changer?
  • Do you have zero time to focus on your inner self because you’re just so damn busy being busy?
  • Is your personal and/or professional life feeling flat and blah because of stress and burnout?
  • Have you had it with the status quo—and you want to start making waves, rocking the boat, and connecting with other movers and shakers?
  • Are you eager to create a sisterhood of lifelong connection and collaboration?
  • Are you ready to build a tangible plan for your life and embrace your messy brilliance?

Your Messy Brilliance® 2.0: A Retreat for Women Who Are Ready to Make Life Happen, is for you!

GIVE YOURSELF THE GIFT OF TRUE SELF-CARE
and empower yourself to make 2020 your decade!

I created this retreat because I want you to step into 2020 with compassion and piercing clarity.

Like me, you probably know that truth and authenticity are seldom nice, pretty, or easy. Seriously, it takes courage and determination to live out loud without feeling weighed down by shame, judgments, and the chaos of the world! But when we are committed to meeting each challenge with authenticity and unflinching love for ourselves, we learn to walk our talk—which means we get to experience the kind of lasting transformation and deep fulfillment we all deserve!

At the Your Messy Brilliance® 2.0 Retreat, you’ll enter a passionate, nonjudgmental space with sisters who are committed to walking their talk and support each other in their power.

That might sound simple, but without the proper support from your “ride-or-die” people who have your back and will hold you accountable, it’s terrifying as hell!

I know that if you’re reading this, you want to be seen for who you are.

You want to connect with those vital parts of you—your sensuality, your assertiveness, your wicked sense of humor, your uncontainable joy—that have maybe been feeling a little muted (or even nonexistent) of late.

You want to step up and speak your truth, knowing there are people who get it, and who will cheer you on.

You want to finally enter into and claim your wholeness instead of constantly apologizing for it.

At this retreat, you’ll learn how to embrace every single part of your messy brilliance and shine it out into the world. You’ll be nurtured as well as lovingly challenged to move into your “what’s next.” Throughout our time together, you’ll be guided through a unique framework that we at Wf1 call The 7 Phases of Transformation, which will help you move through both the challenges and triumphs of your life with presence, power, and a deep connection to who you are, deep down.

You are absolutely ready for this!

So let go of the outside world for a few days and give yourself permission to accept the woman you are, and step into the woman you long to become.

IT’S TIME TO GET OUT OF THAT RUT
& shine like the brilliant woman you are

Too often, even the most powerful women find themselves falling prey to self-doubt, insecurity, confusion, and the feeling of carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.

A lot of us experience these feelings in isolation, and then we wonder: What’s wrong with me? Is it always going to feel this way? Will I ever get my mojo back???

Soul sister, I’m here to assure you that nothing is wrong with you! Instead of beating yourself up, it’s time to take a deep look within.

With just one caveat: Getting in touch with yourself isn’t merely about bathing yourself in “self-care” and a treat yo-self mentality. I love pampering myself as much as the next person, but true transformation—the kind that’ll have you waking up most mornings and saying “hell yes!” to your life, as messy as it might be—requires taking a good long look in the mirror and asking:

Do I like what I see?

Is this the real me?

What will truly make me happy?

Where am I self-sabotaging?

The only way to embrace your messy brilliance is to start by putting on your own oxygen mask and holding yourself accountable—with the fierce, danger-defying love of a mama bear for her cubs.

If not you, who?

I'm In!

ARE YOU WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE…FOR you?

Nurturing yourself—body, mind, and soul—is all about finding ways to make your insides match your outsides. This looks different for everyone. For you, it could mean any of the following:

  • Acknowledging how other people’s opinions have kept you from living on your own terms
  • Noticing the ways you’ve used cookie-cutter templates for what your life “should” look like to negate your deepest desires, which have felt too scary to pursue
  • Figuring out your deepest wounds and itchiest triggers, and identifying how they might still be running your life
  • Saying buh-bye to toxic partners, “friends,” and family members—especially if you are sacrificing your true self to have them in your life
  • Owning your shadow qualities instead of throwing love and light at them
  • Stepping into the kind of vulnerability that lets you experience genuine intimacy with other people so you know you are not alone

The Your Messy Brilliance® 2.0 Retreat is for women who, even if they’ve hit rock bottom, are ready to take the reins of their one wild and precious life (to quote one of my fave messily brilliant women, the poet Mary Oliver).

It’s for women who want to walk their talk. Women who crave supportive sisterhood. Women who are 200% willing to do the shadow work to recover the polished diamond of their messy brilliance.

During our retreat, we will embrace one foundational truth: When women encourage each other to step up, speak out, and shine, in full sisterhood and support, we cultivate the deep power that helps us move through our personal ruts with greater ease. So get ready to put on your oxygen mask. Relax into yourself without any distractions. Move into a clear space where you’ll cultivate the tools and confidence to move into your “what’s next.”

Love from retreat participants

The Your Messy Brilliance® Retreat was extraordinary on many levels. I loved the practices and surprises, as well as the tenderness and opportunities for connection. I would love to continue and deepen the work through ongoing women’s circles and other events.

Jana Pallis, Kirkland, WA

The way that you were able to create a space for women to come together and grow together was awesome. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this wonderful retreat.

Amy White, San Francisco, CA

At first, I didn’t want to share my story with the group—and then knew I had to…because shame likes to be secret. Having women come up to me afterwards and share that it was their story too was healing and freeing. Huge revelations and healing happened. I felt emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically lighter at the end of the retreat on Sunday. I was surprised at how ‘held’ I felt in that space. Giving myself the permission to feel and process my own stuff and not someone else’s takes a sacred space. Thank you for providing that, as I was able to get through some resistance and feel peaceful.

Brenda Reiss, Redmond, WA

I loved having the opportunity to work one on one with other women in the group. I loved the flow of all the sessions, as well as the willingness to allow what needed to happen at the time. There was so much space to allow masks and layers to fall away. I also loved meeting new friends, listening to each other, crying, feeling both pain and laughter, and releasing together.

Jill Nichols Hicks, Founder of Illuminating Women, Issaquah, WA

The safe container was beautiful, and the invitation for fun and ‘no rules’ was refreshing. I got to do some much-needed healing; I was also able to speak my truth about an old story and begin rewriting a new one! Being able to share with others who are not directly connected to my inner circle was wonderful. I was touched and in awe of the beautiful Wf1 staff. Each of you touched me with your kindness, and I will never forget how you all made me feel. Kelly and Nirmala….wow! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

Angela Caceres, Temecula, CA

I loved having permission right up front to do whatever I needed for my own self-care. Everything had a place and purpose for me, and everything fit together in the end. The mantra I created during one of the exercises, ‘I will own my brilliance,’ will serve me for the rest of my life. Without even consciously trying to transform, the steps/exercises from the retreat gently guided me into alignment with myself, and I feel it on a cellular level. It is now embodied for me.

Beth Halleck, Winona, MN

After this retreat, I feel more in touch with my own purpose and feel supported and legitimized in fulfilling that purpose.

Eileen Rossignol, Everett, WA

Everything was so well planned and thought out. A memorable experience that I will remember for a lifetime. Kelly, you and your amazing tribe are making a difference in the world, one wonderful woman at a time. Thank you.

Shelley Hewins, BC, Canada

Wow wow, I’m just going to say it one more time—WOW! First of all, Kelly and Nirmala are amazing at what they do! They are really gifted, and they’re great presenters. I didn’t know what to expect when I got there, but I was the fortunate recipient of so much healing! I really needed some further help with overcoming childhood issues. They had so many methods and activities that brought me terrific awareness. I’m a better person for having attended the Courageous Truthtelling retreat! Thank God for these women! Get over to one of their events—you’ll heal your ass off!

Mary Barras, Austin, TX

Thanks for an amazing retreat. I was finally able to put my story down on paper after so many years. It was so healing to write down a loose timeline that indirectly caused the events in my life to unfold the way they did (and to take responsibility for them). The three intentions I set were to be fearless with the truth, be authentic, and gain clarity. It was very empowering to face the truth head on and meet all my intentions. I really felt like it sunk in! Now I know that writing my story would expand my comfort zone, and perhaps it would help someone, too.

Ro

I would like to thank Kelly and the entire group for giving me a chance to attend this important retreat in the U.S. all the way from Africa. Thank you once again for the love and respect you have given me during this event. I am proud of you and myself.

Mary Akeyo Amollo, Kenya

FAQs

The retreat fee includes the tuition for the weekend, all meals except dinner, and the priceless connections you’ll make with the other women. You’ll also get: a binder with worksheets and exercises; and a PDF version of Kelly McNelis’s bestselling book, Your Messy Brilliance: 7 Tools for the Perfectly Imperfect Woman. The fee does not include your airfare or accommodations, although the Marriott is offering a special retreat rate to all registered participants.

We are capping attendance at 50 women. We are purposely keeping it on the smaller side in order to create an intimate and connected environment.

The retreat will be led by Women For One Founder Kelly McNelis and Content Alchemist Nirmala Nataraj.

Although we will be sending you a more detailed agenda closer to the retreat, we want you to allow our time together to unfold organically rather than stressing about what’s next. We want this to be an opportunity to sink deep into yourself and enjoy each moment as it comes—and to welcome surprises! Just know that the weekend will include some gentle movement, group sessions and shares, journaling prompts, and exercises with partners and small groups.

It’s for all women, ages 18 and up, who are ready to make life happen and connect to their most powerful stories in a safe and supportive environment.

It is going to be held at the Marriott Hotel in beautiful Redmond, Washington.

We have the room block at the Marriott for the sake of convenience and so you have ample time to bond with your fellow participants. However, you are welcome to book your stay elsewhere, although we encourage you find a place that’s in close proximity to the retreat.

You can fly into the Seattle Tacoma International Airport, which is about 30 minutes from Kirkland. Rideshare options like Lyft and Uber are easy and available from the airport, and typically range from $40 to $55. You can also choose to take a bus, although this would add about an hour to your trip. Registered participants will be in a private Facebook group where they can arrange to share rides to and from the airport.

Spring in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to bring layers, including scarves, sweaters, jackets, etc. As we’ll be doing some light movement and lots of activities throughout the day, bring clothing that is comfortable and that you can move around in easily, such as yoga pants or other casual, breathable wear.

We’ll be providing supplies like pens and notebooks. The facility will provide chairs, but if you’d like to sit on the floor, feel free to bring your own yoga mat, backjack, or cushions. We’ll also be providing snacks throughout the day, and we advise bringing your own refillable water bottle.

Not at all. We’ll be sending all registered participants a questionnaire that allows us to collect important information, including stuff like food restrictions. We’ve got you covered!

Currently, no. However, as we explore funding options and sponsorship opportunities, we hope to be able to offer partial and full scholarships to those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford attending, for future retreats.

We will offer refunds on a case-by-case basis, but generally, our policy is that we will allow you to transfer your ticket to a friend if you can’t make it, or we will give you credit that can be used toward any of our online courses or upcoming events.

That’s why we’ve created a special private Facebook page especially for retreat participants! It’ll be a place to meet other participants (and even make ride and travel arrangements), share more about yourself, and get your questions answered by Women For One staff. Kelly will also be doing a couple Facebook live sessions for the group as we count down to the retreat. Registered participants will receive an invitation to join the Facebook group shortly after they sign up for the retreat.

No problem, that’s what we’re here for! Just shoot us an email at info@womenforone.com.
