A Retreat for Women Who Are Ready to Make Life Happen

April 26–28, 2019

kirkland, washington
  • Do you long to break free from the shackles of perfectionism?
  • Are you a passionate, creative woman who wants to be a catalyst for change—by being fully and authentically YOU?
  • Do you want to access your deepest truth to inspire others…but you’re not quite sure where to start?
  • Are you a soul seeker who’s ready to deep-dive into your most foundational life experiences and rewrite the story of your life so you’re the one in the driver’s seat?
  • And are you eager to create a sisterhood of lifelong connection and collaboration—while crying cathartic tears and laughing your ass off in the process?

If you answered yes to to any of these questions, Women For One’s
Your Messy Brilliance®: A Retreat for Women Who Are Ready to Make Life Happen is for you!

It’s time for you
to step up, speak out, and shine

Movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp have revealed the need for women to share our most powerful stories with each other and the world. During our retreat, we will embrace one foundational truth: Each and every one of us has a powerful story to tell. When we encourage each other to step up, speak out, and shine, we cultivate authentic connection with ourselves and each other.

This retreat is a safe space for like-hearted women who are ready to make life happen on our terms. From Friday night to Sunday morning, we’ll engage in:

  • Spirited discussion in partners, small groups, and the larger group
  • Soulful movement sessions
  • Vulnerable writing and sharing exercises
  • Experiential activities that expand our creativity and joy
  • Trust-building exercises that prove that when we have each other’s back, everything is possible!

Get ready to
fall in love with yourself!

Your Messy Brilliance® emerges from close to a decade of Women For One empowering thousands of women across the globe to make life happen. It was designed for you—the courageous, truthtelling, kickass woman who longs to build trust in yourself and the universe. It’s for the woman who’s ready to take decisive action and connect to her true voice and genius.

The best part? There are no rules! We have lots of fun planned for the weekend, but if you ever feel that you need to sleep in or step out of the room, we’re here to support you. During our breakout sessions and group gatherings, you can opt for personal reflection time without suffering from a case of FOMO! We’ll have plenty of suggested activities for women who need their alone time, so you can rest assured that you’re getting every drop of content we have for you. The only rule is that you take care of yourself and ask for what you need. This is your time!

AT the retreat, you will:

  • Learn to express your most heartfelt stories and truths through intimate sharing and connection
  • Identify obstacles that keep you from living your truth—and find concrete solutions for maximum self-expression and authenticity
  • Tap into your essential feminine aliveness, which lives in the intelligence of your body
  • Access your unique voice and use it powerfully—even when it might be shaking
  • Experience the power of community, collaboration, and sisterhood

As part of the experience, you will also receive:

  • A beautiful binder with special worksheets and interactive exercises for the weekend
  • A PDF version of Kelly McNelis’s bestselling book, Your Messy Brilliance: 7 Tools for the Perfectly Imperfect Woman
  • Your choice of any one of Women For One’s popular online courses
  • A 20-minute call with Kelly to determine your needs and desires for the retreat, prior to our time together
  • Delicious and nutritious organic meals

Sharing Love with Wf1

“Absolutely bowled over by the depth of authenticity and soul of the Women For One movement. This token of gratitude that I received today for becoming a Truthteller has absolutely made my day, and I have never known of any organization that so deeply cares about its contributors and its cause. Thanks for the wonderful work you do—you are a ray of pure sunshine in this world and an inspiration to all.”

Ashleigh Jackson, Wf1 Truthteller

“I LOVE Women For One. This beautiful community website is a powerful forum for women to share from their depths. When we consciously share our stories with each other, when we can be vulnerable in a safe place, then huge healing happens. Women For One offers a safe haven that is transforming the world, one woman at a time. I am honored to be part of this amazing movement and encourage all women to dive into the wisdom that comes from the diverse voices that make up the whole of Women For One. Thanks, Kelly, for your heart and vision in bringing women’s voices back into the world.”

HeatherAsh Amara, Author of Warrior Goddess Training

“Kelly McNelis is a wayshower for women! The amazing community that she has created, Women For One, has literally changed the lives of thousands of women since its inception. Kelly gives us all the opportunity and permission to stand up, speak up, and share our light with the world, in our own unique way. It is a mission that inspires me to be a better woman. Women For One reminds us of the power of the feminine, the sisterhood that has been so easily ignored, and calls us into inspired action.”

Sunny Dawn Johnston, Author of Invoking the Archangels and The Love Never Ends

“Nobel laureate Amartya Sen said, ‘Empowering women with more choices and more freedoms is crucial to achieving a better future for all.’ I believe that, too. That’s why Kelly McNelis is a hero. By exposing women to sisters, colleagues, and mentors in their lives, Kelly not only weaves community, but also helps the sisterhood generate power and possibilities associated with balance, family, and work life, providing them a forum to share how they envision the future, and to take steps toward birthing it.”

Barnet Bain, Producer of What Dreams May Come and The Celestine Prophecy, and Author of The Book of Doing and Being: Rediscovering Creativity in Life, Love and Work

FAQs

The retreat fee includes the tuition for the weekend, all meals except dinner, and the priceless connections you’ll make with the other women. You’ll also get: a binder with worksheets and exercises; a PDF version of Kelly McNelis’s bestselling book, Your Messy Brilliance: 7 Tools for the Perfectly Imperfect Woman; your choice of any one of our popular online courses; and a 20-minute call with Kelly prior to the retreat. The fee does not include your airfare or accommodations, although the Heathman is offering a special retreat rate to all registered participants.

We are capping attendance at 50 women. We are purposely keeping it on the smaller side in order to create an intimate and connected environment.

The retreat will be led by Women For One Founder Kelly McNelis, Content Alchemist Nirmala Nataraj, and other special guests from the surrounding Seattle area.

Check-in time is 4–7 p.m. on Friday, April 26. We have a session from 7–9 p.m. that night; the other days will run from about 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m., which includes mealtimes.

Although we will be sending you a more detailed agenda closer to the retreat, we want you to allow our time together to unfold organically rather than stressing about what’s next. We want this to be an opportunity to sink deep into yourself and enjoy each moment as it comes—and to welcome surprises! Just know that the weekend will include some gentle movement, group sessions and shares, journaling prompts, and exercises with partners and small groups.

It’s for all women, ages 18 and up, who are ready to make life happen and connect to their most powerful stories in a safe and supportive environment.

It is going to be held at the Heathman Hotel in beautiful Kirkland, Washington.

Yes, there is! The special room rate for retreat participants is $169 a night (as opposed to the regular room rate of $240 a night). We will send you all the details for booking your room once you register for the retreat.

We have the room block at the Heathman for the sake of convenience and so you have ample time to bond with your fellow participants. However, you are welcome to book your stay elsewhere, although we encourage you find a place that’s in close proximity to the retreat.

You can fly into the Seattle Tacoma International Airport, which is about 30 minutes from Kirkland. Rideshare options like Lyft and Uber are easy and available from the airport, and typically range from $40 to $55. You can also choose to take a bus, although this would add about an hour to your trip. Registered participants will be in a private Facebook group where they can arrange to share rides to and from the airport.

It includes a VIP ticket to the Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour, which takes place after the retreat on April 28, at the Kirkland Performance Center (just two blocks away from the retreat location). The VIP reception is from 5–6 p.m., and the Truthteller Tour is from 6–9 p.m. It’s the perfect inspirational finale to what is sure to be a beautiful weekend!

Spring in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to bring layers, including scarves, sweaters, jackets, etc. As we’ll be doing some light movement and lots of activities throughout the day, bring clothing that is comfortable and that you can move around in easily, such as yoga pants or other casual, breathable wear.

We’ll be providing supplies like pens and notebooks. The facility will provide chairs, but if you’d like to sit on the floor, feel free to bring your own yoga mat, backjack, or cushions. We’ll also be providing snacks throughout the day, and we advise bringing your own refillable water bottle.

Not at all. We’ll be sending all registered participants a questionnaire that allows us to collect important information, including stuff like food restrictions. We’ve got you covered!

Currently, no. However, as we explore funding options and sponsorship opportunities, we hope to be able to offer partial and full scholarships to those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford attending, for future retreats.

We will offer refunds on a case-by-case basis, but generally, our policy is that we will allow you to transfer your ticket to a friend if you can’t make it, or we will give you credit that can be used toward any of our online courses or upcoming events.

That’s why we’ve created a special private Facebook page especially for retreat participants! It’ll be a place to meet other participants (and even make ride and travel arrangements), share more about yourself, and get your questions answered by Women For One staff. Kelly will also be doing a couple Facebook live sessions for the group as we count down to the retreat. Registered participants will receive an invitation to join the Facebook group shortly after they sign up for the retreat.

No problem, that’s what we’re here for! Just shoot us an email at info@womenforone.com.
