Playing in the Field of the Heart: An Interview with Melissa Joy Jonsson

I was overjoyed to speak with my friend, Melissa Joy Jonsson, in this conversation that’s all about accessing the power of awareness and an open heart. Melissa is a valued member of my tribe, as well as a brilliant teacher who has helped students from all around the world access lives of optimal joy and love (and really, what more is there?).

She is best known for her ability to engage people in embracing their True Authentic Power by playing in the field of the heart. Melissa has been teaching popular life-transformational Matrix Energetics seminars around the globe since 2008. In 2014 she launched the M-Joy seminar teachings, a unifying movement in consciousness dedicated to heart-centered awareness and practical personal empowerment for everyone.

Melissa’s distinctive perspective on how we are able to experience living joyfully and loving completely is a culmination of her work integrating scientific principles and spiritual concepts into practical daily experiences. She provides a new language to experience self-love as integrity.

Melissa is the author of The Integrity Effect and the bestselling books Little Book of Big Potentials: 24 Fields of Flow, Fulfillment, Abundance, and Joy in Everyday Life (2015) and M-Joy Practically Speaking; Matrix Energetics and Living Your Infinite Potential (2014). She also authored Practical Play the Heart-Centered Way: A Complementary Play Guide to Little Book of Big Potentials (2016). Melissa co-authored Into the Matrix: Guides, Grace, and The Field of the Heart (2013) and The Physics of Miracles: Tapping in to the Field of Consciousness Potential with Dr. Richard Bartlett (2010).

In this profound, thought-provoking conversation, Melissa leads us through an exercise in heart-centered awareness. Although her work also draws upon physics and scientific principles, this is deep personal work that anyone can benefit from. She says, “Understanding isn’t necessary for experience; experience leads to understanding.” Melissa also emphasizes the importance of trusting your inner knowing—a piece of advice that I hope will ring true for all of you.
