Beautiful Souls: Down Syndrome Through the Eyes of the Ones We Love

This past May, Beautiful Souls was published. It’s a one-of-a-kind book featuring compelling, powerful, unforgettable portraits and stories of individuals with Down syndrome. This book was created to help spread awareness, foster understanding, and inspire us to learn more about families and their loved ones with Down syndrome.

Families from North Carolina and around the country share their thoughts, experiences, and aspirations through this vibrant collection of professional portraits. Several well-known actors from the Emmy Award–winning shows Born This Way and Glee share their stories of inspiration.

Nancy Gianni, Chief Belief Officer of GiGi’s Playhouse Inc. and CNN Hero Awardee wrote the book’s foreword, stating, “Beautiful Souls was designed to take away that fear and replace it with hope. To show everyone the potential and joy of individuals with Down syndrome and to celebrate this amazing life that was meant to be.”

Proceeds from sales will benefit several local North Carolina, nonprofits, including: Anna’s Angels, Gigi’s Playhouse Raleigh and the Triangle Down Syndrome Network.
