My Libido Went to Tahiti and Left Me Behind

This episode provides a  wealth of information on eastern and western practices and how they can contribute to your sex drive. Getting sick in her early 30s sent Dr. Keesha Ewers on a mission to find a  way to cure her auto-immune disease without taking toxic drugs. Along her journey, she discovered yoga and Ayurveda, which completely transformed her relationship to “cookie cutter” western medicine. She  went on to become a practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine and a functional medicine specialist. As the founder of  the Functional Sexology Institute, Dr. Ewers candidly shares the three questions she asks  patients with a low sex drive.

About the Author | Dr. Keesha Ewers

Dr. Keesha Ewers discovered her autoimmune disease and breast cancer were a result of sexual abuse from her own childhood and her sons’ childhoods. Her journey of self-discovery was gritty and bleak as she came to terms with how to forgive and discover her own innate connection to the divine. She had to re-choose life rather than death—even when it seemed like an easier path. She now aids others on this journey through her functional medicine practice, workshops, and articles/books.
