In the Meantime

My boat has been set adrift
And I’ve grown accustomed to sailing these unknown seas
But now I’m awaiting my anchor
He who will set this Wild Child free

I’ve got a soundtrack to my afterlife
That I’ve been listening to on repeat
Waiting for that moment when we meet
And our two hearts both skip a beat

What you seek is what you find
So be patient, sweet child of mine
For we are living now
In the meantime

So be in the meantime
N’ breath in the meantime
N’ dance in the meantime
And sing songs
In this sweet, sweet meantime
And sing songs
In this sweet, sweet meantime

How I crave a lover
Who’s ascended with two feet on the ground
Not enraptured in some romantic dream
A love that is real and profound

What you seek is what you find
So be patient, sweet child of mine
For we are living now
In the meantime

So rejoice in this struggle
As it leads us to the light
For our lives are sourced
From this waiting feeling inside

So be in the meantime
N’ breath in the meantime
N’ dance in the meantime
And sing songs
In this sweet sweet meantime
