Truthteller Molly McCord has asked herself some tough questions on her spiritual journey and written eight books along the way. What she has to say about sharing personal truths and stories resonates so strongly with me – it is exactly the reason why Women For One is in existence. When we share our stories, we connect with each other and help each other along the way. Molly’s piece is beautiful and inspiring. Enjoy!
In this second of a series of interviews with Molly McCord, we talk about what it means to get real. So many of us began adulthood determined to shape our lives into what they “should” look like, and we realize along the way that we’ve started down a path that feels empty and unfulfilling. We need to ask Who am I? and What do I want? Most importantly, though, we need to add to that, Do I really believe I deserve to get what I want?
Every now and again I have the pleasure of sharing some of my favorite books with you. “The Art of Trapeze: One Woman’s Journey of Soaring, Surrendering and Awakening” is one of those books. Written by my friend Molly McCord, it’s her personal story about having the audacity to step out of the box and fulfill her dream of living in Paris. I wrapped up this book thinking two things: 1) What dreams do I have that I haven’t yet surrendered to? and 2) I wonder if my dog would like it in France? I know you’ll love this book, and like me, feel so empowered by Molly’s journey. Enjoy!
